SheepSki Designs: Feature a Creature!

The realm of fairy-story is wide and deep and high and filled with many things: all manner of beasts and birds are found there; shoreless seas and stars uncounted; beauty that is an enchantment, and an ever-present peril; both joy and sorrow as sharp as swords. In that realm a man may, perhaps, count himself fortunate to have wandered, but its very richness and strangeness tie the tongue of a traveller who would report them. And while he is there it is dangerous for him to ask too many questions, lest the gates should be shut and the keys be lost. ~J.R.R. Tolkien, "Fairy-Stories," 1939 (lecture), 1947 (print essay)

Bohemian Winter

The sun was down behind the snow-covered hills across the ice, and chilly gusts swept through the trees. Fine snow was sifting from the loaded branches and riding the wind. ~Gerald Raftery (1905–1986), Gray Lance, 1950

Winter!

Author Unknown

I love Winter!  Winter is cold.

It's Christmas with sleds.

It's warm snuggly beds.

It's silver snowflakes.

It's skating on lakes.

It's snowmen that stand.

in a snowy white land.

It's blue jays that feed

on sunflower seeds.

It's angels that pose

in wintertime clothes.

It's a polka-dot sky.

It's winter. That's why...

I love winter.

The Outlawz Crash your Stash Challenge: Charms

You know you have found love when you can't find your way back. ~Robert Brault, rbrault.blogspot.com

Good morning!

We have a new Crash your Stash Challenge starting at The Outlawz Challenges and our Sponsor this month is Oddball Art with a prize of a $10 gift code

https://www.etsy.com/shop/OddballArtCo

https://www.oddballartco.com/

https://www.facebook.com/oddballartco

Our cue this month is charms.

I actually purged quite a few charms I had … there were just so many so I gifted them on to someone else. But I do still have some and rarely use them even though they are a nice little touch to a card,

I loved using this fun image from Lizzy .. I really like the looks of VW buses and was extremely happy to have this one to create with.

For giggles I made this to be an anniversary card for my husband as we celebrate 35 years later this month. The inside says “you make life fun”.

You can see here the shimmer I added with the FSJ silk. Just splatted it right over the ink.

Supplies:

  • Image Hippie Flower Power Peace Van, Image No.312 printed on Stampin Up! whisper white card stock
  • Cardstock for base from Neenah
  • Design paper from Color Bok and DCWV
  • Die from Close to My heart
  • India Ink from Memories
  • Liquid silk from Fun Stampers Journey
  • Neon ink from Tsukineko
  • ProMarkers
  • Sentiment from The Angel Company
  • Stash: Flower charm and Twine
  • Sketch by me

Now come on over to The Outlawz Challenges to play along with us or one of the other challenges that are always in process!

You'll Never Walk alone ...

He who has faith has... an inward reservoir of courage, hope, confidence, calmness, and assuring trust that all will come out well — even though to the world it may appear to come out most badly. ~B.C. Forbes

You'll Never Walk alone

When you walk through a storm

Hold your head up high

And don't be afraid of the dark

At the end of a storm

There's a golden sky

And the sweet silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind

Walk on through the rain

Though your dreams be tossed and blown

Walk on, walk on

With hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone

You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on

With hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone

You'll never walk alone
