About Me

I am a born and raised native of the sunny (read HOT) state of Arizona, USA (actually an unusual thing for someone my age!). I am retired since January of 2017 and live in Gilbert with my husband of 30plus years. We have two grown kids, a feral calico who thinks my husband is the bomb (much to his horror), a lovavble pup named Tux, another little rescue named Annie and I inherited my moms cat Boots.

I grew up with a mom who was always up to something crafty and encouraged me to explore the realm of creativity. I am curious by nature so learning something new has always been a big thing with me. Although I love most anything craft related, cross stitch, especially beaded cross stitch was one of my favorites, but losing sight in one eye has made it difficult for me to do that anymore but I generally have a crochet project in the works by my chair.

A friend introduced me to rubber stamping so many years ago it seems like forever! Now I am an Administrator, Team lead & DT for the Outlawz Challenges and a Design Team Member for Andrea Norris, SheepSki Designs and Sandra Caldwell, Babycakesdnd.

I was the Owner/Editor of Through the Craftroom Door Challenge Blog and Digital craft magazine for almost 5 years when I had to close it down in 2019 due to health issues with a family member as well as a declining membership. The blog is still alive and well as it was taken over by a previous Design Team Member,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you have found something to inspire you to create or try something new!

Here is our gorgeous feral Gobi Hayve Malmrose
She looks sweet, but don't be fooled ...

Tuxedo Ren Malmrose
A sweet pup that I adopted at 8 weeks old in December 2017

Annie RUOK Malmrose
Another sweet rescue who was 17 months old when we adopted her

When my mom passed away, her kitty "Boots' came to live with us. She's a bit long in the tooth (around 14 years old at best guess) and has some medical issues but we are trying to give her the best life she can have for remainder of her days.
