Christmas Bells

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself.
“Let Every Day Be Christmas” by Norman W. Brooks, 1976

The flower offered of itself
And eloquently spoke
Of Gods
In languages of rainbows

Doggie in the window ...

A dog is so often the answer — when you're lonely and need company, or when you're tired of company and need lonely. ~Robert Brault, rbrault.blogspot.com

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my card for the new Sunday Song & Rhyme challenge which is currently running at The Outlawz Challenges through March 10th.

Our sponsor this month is Creative Bug on the Loose with a generous prize of 5 digi images!

Our challenge this fortnight is to find inspiration in any of the lyrics/words to the Song or Rhyme:

How Much is That Doggie in the Window
How much is that doggie in the window?
The one with the waggly tail
How much is that doggie in the window?
I do hope that doggie's for sale
I must take a trip to California
And leave my poor sweetheart alone
If he has a dog, he won't be lonesome
And the doggie will have a good home
How much is that doggie in the window?
The one with the waggly tail
How much is that doggie in the window?
I do hope that doggie's for sale

Blooms abound...

Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night. ~Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters of Rainer Maria Rilke

Good morning and Happy Tuesday!

Today we start a new Anything Goes Challenge at Through the Craft Room Door and our sponsor this week is Createful-Heart Designs with a generous gift of the 4 images being used by our DT this week.

For my card, I am using a pre-colored flower swag from the Florals set.

As you can see. This card does not have a sentiment on it. These days I leave them off to be added at a later date depending on need. This way I don’t have piles of cards for say … birthday, but nothing for a thank you card or sympathy card.

Supplies:
  • Image printed on Stampin Up! Whisper White card stock
  • Design paper from my scrap box
  • Card candy from my stash
  • Card is based on this card found on SplitcoastStampers (CFC66shells2_by_limedoodle Splitcoast stampers gallery photo 2241048)

Crash your Stash: Chipboard

A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society. --- Billy Graham

Good morning!
Today is February 15th and we have another “Crash your Stash” challenge for you at The Outlawz Challenges

The purpose of this Challenge is to encourage you to use those items that are no longer trending and probably stashed away in a drawer. Forgotten and alone. So, we are here to help inspire you to dig those lovely items out and bring them new life!
And to make it better, We Are 3 Digital Shop is generously sponsoring us so everyone month, someone will win a lovely prize!
Our item for this month is
Chip Board
We all have it in our stash. Stored away somewhere in a box or bag. Those alphabets, numbers and shapes from a bygone era! We painted them, covered them with design paper and distressed them.  Now you get to dig them out and rediscover how fun they are to play with.

I enjoy making masculine cards and this one will be sent to my Stepfather-in-Law.

Supplies: 5 x 7 card

Button: Bazzill
Cardstock: The Paper Studio (base) and Stampin Up!
Design Paper: Recollections Whiskey Barrel
Embossing Folder: Crafters Companion
Stash: Star shaped chipboard
Twine: Stampin Up!

My card is based on this one from Cardgrotto.com

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to stop by The Outlawz Challenges where there is a challenge for every day of the week!

Be Happy ...

We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have. ~Frederick Keonig

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my card for the new color challenge which is currently running at The Outlawz Challenges.

Our Sponsor this month is Imagine That Digistamp with a generous $12 gift certificate

This week we have a lovely Inspiration board. Our Challenge is to use the color green, pick two colors from the photo and add the twist of making our own background.

For my card I am using a sweet image from the Sponsor called Love Swans. I chose to use the pre-colored version as they were the colors I wanted to use: Green, Pink and Gold.

I did make my own background using a fun “marble” stamping block from Stampendous that I have had for ages.

Sing a Song of Sixpence

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. As age comes on, one source of enjoyment after another is closed, but Nature's sources never fail. ~John Muir, Our National Parks

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my card for the new color challenge which is currently running at The Outlawz Challenges through 24th.

Sing a Song of Sixpence, a pocket full of rye
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing -
Wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?

For my card I keyed in on the bird and the color black.
