Christmas is Forever ...

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself...
~Norman Wesley Brooks (1923–2002)
“Let Every Day Be Christmas,” 1976

These cards were made specifically for my two Admins at TTCRD, Sandra and Deonna. These two amazing Ladies help keep the website, weekly challenges (and me when necessary!) operating smoothly and for that I am very blessed!

Celebrate the Season

Fail not to call to mind, in the course of the twenty-fifth of this month, that the Divinest Heart that ever walked the earth was born on that day; and then smile and enjoy yourselves for the rest of it; for mirth is also of Heaven's making. ~Leigh Hunt

Hmmm ... Let's see what I can remember on this one too.

The card stock is from The Paper Studio and Stampin' Up!
The DP  ... I wanna say it is from DCWV
The sentiment is from The Halo Rubber Stamp Company
Ink is from Stampin' Up!

Another Christmas Card Share!

I can understand people simply fleeing the mountainous effort Christmas has become... but there are always a few saving graces and finally they make up for all the bother and distress.
~May Sarton

I have absolutely no clue where any of the items used to make this card came from. This was a card I started to make in a card class some time ago but never completed. Not even sure I have all the pieces to the origigal card! But its done now!

Its 4.25 x 5.50 and has a tag tucked into the pocket.

Peace on Earth

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.
~Charles Dickens

Snowflakes are something else I have this addiction too! LOL .... Which I find hilarious. Maybe it's because I live in Arizona and the only time I see snow is on TV or if I drive to it!

The Snowflakes are from a die set from Sizzix.
I believe the sentiment is from CTMH
and I can't remember who the EF is from (I have soooo many snowflake EF's it's almost (almost) embarrassing!
Card stock is from The Paper Studio and Stampin' Up!
Ink is from Stampin' Up!

Merry Christmas to One and All!

Warm Holiday Wishes

Very gay they were with snow and sleigh-bells, holly-boughs, and garlands, below, and Christmas sunshine in the winter sky above. All faces shone, all voices had a cheery ring, and everybody stepped briskly on errands of good-will. ~Louisa May Alcott, "Seamstress," Work: A Story of Experience, 1873

For some interesting reason which I have been unable to figure out I why have a strange fascination with penguins ... or as I call them "pen-goo-ins" lol
This image is from a stamp that my husband actually found for me.

Let it Snow!

Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.
~Laura Ingalls Wilder

What I can tell you about this one is that I used cardstock from The Paper Studio, ink from CTMH & India Ink from Memories. I used masking tape and sponged the cardstock with a couple of different shades of blue. Then stamped the image which I borrowed from a girlfriend. Then I added some color and pearlized Smooch!

Blessings and Merry Christmas to One and all!

Warmest Wishes

Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we're here for something else besides ourselves. ~Eric Sevareid

Good afternoon
Christmas cards are finished and mailed. Between today and the end of the year I will be sharing some cards that I made... I won't always have the supply lists because I was not very good at keeping track of them. However, I do hope you enjoy and find some inspiration!

Blessings and Merry Christmas to one and all!!!!

Here comes Santa Claus!

Oh look, yet another Christmas TV special! How touching to have the meaning of Christmas brought to us by cola, fast food, and beer.... Who'd have ever guessed that product consumption, popular entertainment, and spirituality would mix so harmoniously?

Winter Wishes

Winter is a time of promise because there is so little to do — or because you can now and then permit yourself the luxury of thinking so. ~Stanley Crawford, A Garlic Testament: Seasons on a Small New Mexico Farm, 1992

*** NOTE: This card is a Featured card for the month of December 2015 at The Outlawz Challenges ***

Good morning!
I love Cardinals ....

There are quite a few lovely legends about Cardinals.
Some say it is the spirit of a loved one come to say Hello. One says they came to be when a little brown bird helped a wolf in distress and another says a Cardinal is a sign of good luck!

Whether you believe any of them or not - they are still a such a vibrant bird to sit upon the limb - natures own Christmas Ornament!
