Off on a New Adventure ...

Good morning,

Sharing a card, I made for a co-worker who left to work from another school district. She loves purple so I added lots of it to the card!
This is a large 7” x 7” square so lots of people could sign it. I even had to make the envelope to fit, which I don’t mind. This is probably the biggest card I’ve made to date, so it was an interesting process.

I couldn’t get the base from one piece of cardstock so had to cut a larger piece for the front and score in a tab to connect the two pieces.

The Astors I cut from a piece of pale-yellow scrap cardstock and then used markers to add more color to the blossoms and green for the leaves. I also colored white cardstock scraps with a darker color and placed in the open gaps of the purple flowers to give a bit more dimension.

Roses are pink ...

Good morning,

Sharing a card, I made for a work birthday. This is reusing a card front from another card I made. I liked the original card well enough but I actually made it backwards so I was going to have to do some cutting to fix it.

I’m pretty happy with the results

Flower Girl

Good morning,

Today is an exciting day for me as a new Challenge has started over at Pennys Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog and I am Guest DT for them. I was given an image from All Dressed Up named Little Flower Girl. Isn’t she adorable? And she was super fun to color!

Sketch Used: Sketches by Me CCBC35

Several years ago a friend sent me a set of circle embellishments that I just love but none of the few I have left would work for this card and I really wanted to use one so I made one from scraps I had left on the table after making the card. I love how it turned out and will making moe of these in the future as it was super each and a great use of little scraps you love!'
