Good morning!
A new Cut it Up Challenge has started. You can find the challenge HERE.
For these challenges, a die-cut is anything made with a manual or an electronic die-cutting machine. (Spellbinders, Cricut, MFT dies, Silhouette, etc.). Store bought die-cuts are also acceptable. Please note that handheld punches and/or paper-piecing DOES NOT count as a die-cut.
I hate needing a sympathy card and not having anything on hand, so I try to keep several in my card file and I try to keep them gender and religious neutral as I have many friends from all walks of life and faiths.
I often use layouts from Call me Crafty Al. This one is her September 2022 and is for a mini slimline which would work with a standard letter size envelope.
I prefer larger cards, and I found that I can use her layouts for the A2 or mini slimlines to make toppers that work for me.
My oldies though for this card are the oval die sets. They were some of the very first ones I bought when Spellbinders (which is located here in Arizona) was just starting out and was still family owned.
- Cardstock from The Paper Studio (base) and Stampin Up!
- Dies from Sizzix (Classic ovals & Classic Scallop ovals) and Honeybee Stamps (Cone Flower)

- Layout used from Call me Crafty Al, September 2022
- Sentiment from Stampin Up! (Close as a memory)
