Elegant wedding

If two stand shoulder to shoulder against the gods,
Happy together, the gods themselves are helpless
Against them while they stand so.
~Maxwell Anderson

Good morning my Crafty Peeps ...

Since I managed to grab some stuff and space in my very trashed craft room, I was able to finish making this card for my manager who is getting married shortly so I decided to add it to the line up at Through the Craft Room Door where a new Anything Goes Challenge starts today!

I took inspiration from this gorgeous card HERE which I found looking through Pinterest.

Heavily layered cards are not my normal style of card but they make such elegant cards I could not resist making one for her special day!

The card size is 5 x 7. I used my score board to add some detail around the edges, barely seen here, but in reality, it adds a nice clean finished look to the card.

Originally I had originally planned on using just all white, but I found out her colors are Tiffany blue and white, I remembered that I had these perfect little blue and white flowers that were gifted to me. The addition of the heart stick pins was actually last minute and, in my opinion, was exactly the finishing touch needed.

The Stork is in transit!

Aside from new babies, new mothers must be the most beautiful creatures on earth.
~Terri Guillemets, 2010 January 26th, journal

It's not often I get to make baby cards but the daughter of a friend has entered the parent trap and expecting shortly. This months image from the Progressive freebee challenge at The Outlawz was perfect for what I wanted to try ...

The image is called "Wishful Asha" from Make it Crafty.

I decided to try something different and used a variant of the spotlight technique. A little masking for the cloud background and voila!
