Happy Happy Anniversary ...

What greater thing is there for two human souls, than to feel that they are joined for life — to strengthen each other in all labour, to rest on each other in all sorrow, to minister to each other in all pain, to be one with each other in silent unspeakable memories at the moment of the last parting? ~George Eliot (1819–1880), Adam Bede, 1859

Hi All,
Today I’m sharing an Anniversary card that I made for my daughter and son-in-law.

I really like how this card looks in real life. Since I used a beautiful shimmery type cardstock, I had a lot of challenges trying to photograph. I just did the best I could.

This card was inspired by this card I found HERE on hmadeboutique.com

This is another card that I do not have a supply list for because it appears I threw it away along with several others during a cleaning frenzy. I’ve tried to remember what I can but I’m sure I’ll miss something.

Supplies
  • Cardstock from Stampin Up!
  • Die from Stampin Up!
  • India Ink from Memories
  • Sentiment ftom Unity Stamps
  • Shimmer paper from The Paper Temptress
  • Tag punch from Stampin Up!
  • Vellum scrap
Thanks for stopping by!

3-D Graduation

Don't live down to expectations. Go out there and do something remarkable. ~Wendy Wasserstein, unverified

Hi All,
Using an Easy shadow box tutorial from Jennifer McGuire Ink found HERE, I made graduation card for my niece. She recently graduated NAU as a dental hygienist. We are so proud of her and I know she will do amazing things with her life!

This card was so easy to make dut it sure looks like it took some time to put together!

I’d give a supply but I can find it right now but will update post when I do.

Thanks for stopping by!

80th Birthday for the Mother in law

God gives you a life and says, Okay, what are you going to do with it? ~Alice Cooper, interview with Cal Fussman, 2008 August 2nd, for Esquire's January 2009 eighth annual Meaning of Life issue

Hi All,
Using a tutorial I found on Beccy’s place HERE, I made an exploding box card for my Mother-in-Laws 80th birthday celebration.

This is the first time I’ve attempted one of these and while not horribly complicated there is a lot of measuring and cutting to get the box base and flaps created.

I had all the kids, grandkids and significant others write out personal messages that I could put onto all the flaps. I had a couple left empty so I found a nice quote about turning 80 years old and the last one I added a picture of her when she got the news that my daughter (the eldest grandchild) had eloped. So much fun! And of course, she cried and cried and cried because she loved it!

Now, I can’t find the paper I wrote all the supplies I used so I have tried to remember what I could

Supplies
  • Cardstock from Stampin Up! and Bazzill
  • Conch on the big bow was a gift
  • Design Paper from Anna Griffen
  • Dies from fawn lawn
  • Pearl Clusters from my stash
  • Punches by Martha Steward
  • Roses from Prima

The Outlawz Crash your Stash Challenge: Twine

It's not about finding fun things to do. It's about finding someone in whose company, it's all fun. ~Robert Brault, rbrault.blogspot.com, 2018

Good morning!
We have a new Crash your Stash Challenge starting at The Outlawz Challenges and our Sponsor this month is Sheri West Designs with a prize of 2 images. This challenge will run through June 14th.

Our cue this month is Twine

I love the look of it on cards but it simply is not my first go to when I want something different for a card front. Needless to say I have a drawer full of twine that I need to make a concerted effort to use more!

For my card, the design paper I used is actually quite bright and I felt it overpowered my images. So using the same die set, only a smaller size, I cut a piece of vellum to overlay and tone it down just a bit.

I then threaded some alphabet beads onto my twine and wrapped around the cardstock a couple times before taping it down. This created a simple banner over the images.

Supplies:
  • Images printed on Stampin Up! whisper white card stock
  • Cardstock from The Paper Studio
  • Design Paper unknown
  • Die from Spellbinders
  • Pro Markers
  • Punch from Stampin Up!
  • Ranger Archival Ink
  • Sentiment from Unity Stamp Co.

Now come on over to The Outlawz Challenges to play along with us or one of the other challenges that are always in process!
