Cards for Little Hearts General cards

“In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures.
For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.”

~ Khalil Gibran

Recently I was able to get together with a few friends for a day of catching up and card making. There was a time we were able to get together about every 5 – 6 weeks, but the last couple of years have seen the gap between get togethers widening so it was certainly lovely to see everyone!
Since I rarely seem to have time to spend a whole uninterrupted day in my craft room due to family stuff, I took the opportunity to make general cards for the Cards for Little Hearts.

Here are all the cards I made this weekend.

This card below was used as a sabotage card on Oh So Inspired ..

The Outlawz Challenges: 3 colors, optional twist: add a bird

"Dream tonight of peacock tails, Diamond fields and spouter whales. Ills are many, blessing few, But dreams tonight will shelter you." ~ Herman Melville

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my card for the new color challenge which started today at The Outlawz Challenges and sponsored this month by Imagine That! Digi Stamps.

Our challenge this week was picked by me. We are to use the three chosen colors from the inspiration board with a optional twist of adding bird.

For my card, I am using a Sponsor sentiment and pre-colored image called Pretty Peacocks. I created the faux stitched border by needle punching around the edge and then using a fine tip marker for the “thread”

Supplies
  • Pre-colored image printed on Stampin Up! Whisper White Cardstock
  • Cardstock from The Paper Studio (base) and Stampin Up!
  • Glitter Glue from Studio G
  • Rhinestones from Stash

The Outlawz Sunday Song & Rhyme: Saturday in the Park

We shall go wild with fireworks...And they will plunge into the sky and shatter the darkness. -- Natsuki Takaya

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my card for the new Sunday Song & Rhyme challenge which is currently running at The Outlawz Challenges through June 29

Our challenge this fortnight is to find inspiration in any of the lyrics/words to the Song:
Saturday in the Park

Saturday in the park,
I think it was the Fourth of July
Saturday in the park,
I think it was the Fourth of July
People dancing, people laughing
A man selling ice cream
Singing Italian songs
Everybody is another
Can you dig it (yes, I can)
And I've been waiting such a long time
For Saturday

For my card I used fireworks to create a fun birthday card.

Supplies:
  • Cardstock from The Paper Studio (base) and Stampin Up!
  • Fireworks Fun from Close to My Heart
  • Ink from Scrapbook.com
  • Rhinestones unknown
  • Sentiment, Messages for Everyday from Simon Says Stamps

The Outlawz Crash your Stash Challenge: Stick Pins

- 1 John 4:11-12

That simple!
And to make it better, We Are 3 Digital Shop is generously sponsoring us so everyone month, someone will win a lovely prize!
Our item for this month is Stick Pins … There was a time these were all the rage so many of you may still have these stuck in a drawer somewhere. Dig them out and come play along with us!

The Outlawz Challenges: Inspiration photo

On with the dance! let joy be unconfined;
No sleep till morn, when Youth and Pleasure meet
To chase the glowing hours with flying feet.

The Outlawz Sunday Song & Rhyme: Shapes

I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for. --Georgia O'Keeffe

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my card for the new Sunday Song & Rhyme challenge which is currently running at The Outlawz Challenges through June 15

Our sponsor this month is Creative Bug

Our challenge this fortnight is to find inspiration in any of the lyrics/words to the Rhyme:
Shapes

Shapes, Do you like Shapes
Shapes. I like Shapes
Do you like Shapes of all kinds?
Let’s see what Shapes we can find.

Can you find the circle?
I’ll give you a clue… it’s round!
And it has only one side.
That’s the one, you got it right!

Can you find the square?
I’ll give you a clue, it has 4 sides
They are all the same length.
That’s the one, you got it right!

Can you find the triangle?
I’ll give you a clue – It has 3 sides.1 – 2 – 3
The sides can be equal or different lengths
that’s the one you got it right!

Chorus
Can you find Rectangle?
Two sides are long and two sides are short
There are 4 sides in total
That’s the one you got it right!

Chorus
circle square triangle
Rectangle heart star
arrow diamond

For my card I decided to use a Circle theme and using my new GinaK Designs Wreath Builder that I ordered from Unity Stamp Company and a variety of stamps including Close to My Heart and Technique Tuesday, I created a circle. I also added a circle die cut along with pearls and rhinestones

Supplies:
  • Cardstock from The Paper Studio (base) and Stampin Up!
  • Design Paper unknown
  • Hampton Arts Accent Spray
  • Ink from Scrapbook.com and Stampin Up!
