Loving the Red ...

Be happy in the moment, that's enough. Each moment is all we need, not more. - Mother Teresa

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my card for the new color challenge which started today at The Outlawz Challenges.

This weeks challenge is a monochrome board from Sharon. Recently I received a set of beautiful floral stamps from a very dear friend of mine and I have been wanting to play with them. They are a layering style of stamp set, which I love, and I thought this challenge would be perfect. I only use two colors of ink and used the stamp off technique for the lighter shades in the flowers and leaves. I love how the card turned out!

Here’s my 5 x 7 card

Here’s the Board

Birthday Wishes ...

The first fact about the celebration of birthdays is that it is a good way of affirming defiantly, and even flamboyantly, that it is a good thing to be alive. ~G.K. Chesterton, "Our Birthday," 1935

Good morning!
Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for my daughter’s boyfriend. I know some people struggle with masculine cards but I actually enjoy making them when the opportunity comes around.

Make a Wish ...

I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in. ~George Washington Carver

Greetings and Salutations my Crafty Peeps!

This month, Margy has a stunning image for us to use for her Progressive Freebie Challenge at DigiStamps4Joy Facebook Group

It’s an image of a King Protea, the national flower of South Africa.

Based on what I could find out about it on the WWW … it is a member of one of the oldest families of flowers on earth, dating back 300 million years and, according to Greek legend, is named after the shape-shifting Proteus, son of Poseidon.

The plants can grow up to 6plus feet and the flowers can reach close to 12 inches across. Just imagine a field of these magnificent flowers!

So here is my card using this stunning image!

Button from Bazzill
Card stock from Stampin Up!

Five Little Speckled Frogs!

If all the beasts were gone, men would die from a great loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beasts also happens to the man. All things are connected. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons of the Earth. ~Chief Seattle of the Suquamish Tribe, letter to President Franklin Pierce

Good morning!

Here is my card for the week. I stamped the frog onto green card stock and added some shading with a green watercolor pen. Celebrate everyday things ...

I rejoice in what I have and I know that fresh new experiences are always ahead. I greet the new with open arms. I trust life to be wonderful. - Louise Hay

Hi there!
Today starts a new monthly challenge at SheepSki Designs and this month our challenge theme is “For Someone Special”

This image I am using for my card is called Birthday Cocktail No.28 but I think it works for any number of celebrations, including everyday things we often overlook.

The card layout is based from one found in the current June’18-June’19 Stampin Up! Catalog.
The background was created by sponging on several colors of blue ink then finger spraying them with a bit of water to get a bt of a droplet effect.
I covered the glass with diamond glaze after everything dried.
